I’m adding in garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder. And of course, the measurements for those will be down below. And also, we’ll be using some Creole conditioning, lemon pepper, conditioning, and celery salt.

  • 5 Chicken drumstick
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp creole seasoning
  • 1 tbsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • ground black pepper
  • 2 eggs for this recipe
  • few dashes of hot sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup self rising flour
  • 1 tbsp creole seasoning
  • 1 tbs lemon pepper

Now what we’re going to do is just add all the conditioning all over the meat. Now I’m adding some ground black pepper in as well for some peppery flavor, even though I added the lemon pepper conditioning already. Okay, now I didn’t use any salt. You can go ahead and add some salt if you like. Trust me, you won’t need it. Give it a nice rub. Make sure the seasoning is well combined with the chicken, something like this. That’s why I choose to add it in the chicken. Now you can use red hot sauce, Louisiana Hot sauce, whatever, it’s what your boat. Then we’re going to give that a nice mix. Once you’re done, you’re going to cover this with CerenWrap. Place it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. But before I do, I like to poke the chicken that way, all the flavor, all the seasoned can get through the chicken.

If you want the nice, crunchy, crispy breading on your chicken, try this out. I’m using self-raising flour. Then we’re going to season it. Keep in mind self-raising flour. The self-raising flour will give it a nice crust, a nice crispy breading. Trust me. Also, once you’re done season it, you can add your corn starch, another ingredient that will make the chicken come out so crispy.

Once you’re done, take out your chicken from the fridge, then we’re going to fry it. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, so it’s not too cold, and that will slow down your temperature when you’re trying to fry it. Now I’m taking the chicken and place it in the flour, and then we’re going to dredge it really good in the flour, give it a shake, put it back into the egg wash. Yes, guys, I know.

Once you’re done, you’re going to place it back in the flour once more so we can have a double coating of the flour and we’re going to place it in the hot oil. I’m frying mine on, I’ll say 350, but it was extremely hot, so you can’t put it in medium, high heat. It has to be hot so you can come out with that crispy skin.

We’re going to carefully… You all see that? You’ll see how it looks. It’s already looking like you can see the skin, how it looks definitely will come out crispy. Now it’s time for me to place it in the hot oil. Be very, very, very careful once you’re adding it to the oil, let it cook.
